FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should we choose you ?
It’s tough choosing the right photographer for your wedding day. I always recommend that you feel comfortable with your chosen photographer, and secondly because you like their style of photography.

Do you deliver every wedding photo ?
Sadly it’s not so simple. There are many reason why an image might not be any good – out of focus, bad lighting, etc. So I pick the best images from your wedding day – usually around 400-500 images.

  • Please note, I NEVER hold good images back to try and sell them to you at a later date.

How long do you recommend for photos ?
I like to go through timings at our first meeting, but I always suggest around 1-2 hours. You can never have “too much time”, and always allow a little extra time during your wedding day.

My venue is really dark, will this be a problem ?
Absolutely not. These days cameras they can literally see better in the dark than us. If the venue permits (and most do) I can set up a few flashes around the venue to create my own light that will showcase the venue and couple perfectly.

Are you insured ?
As a wedding photographer, it’s a must to be insured. I am covered for Professional Indemnity, Public Liability & Personal Accident.

How do you approach the day ?
Typically a wedding is a formal event but I try to keep my photography as informal and relaxed as possible, this isn’t to say I don’t take the day very seriously. While I do take all the usual posed shots including a romantic session with bride and groom, I also take informal pictures which really capture the moments that would otherwise be lost.

Do you do destination weddings ?
Yes! Especially if it’s somewhere warm. Contact me for a quote on your specific destination wedding.

Who will own the copyright ?
Technically, it’s the photographer who will own the copyright on any photos he/she has taken. Unless there is an agreement that assigns copyright to another party. For more information regarding this, please follow the link “Photography Copyright” fact sheet from UK Copyright Service.

Can we view a whole day’s work before we book ?
Absolutely! While I try to show a wide range of images from each wedding on my gallery page, it would be a bit much to upload a full album. Saying that, I would be more than happy to send you a private gallery of a full wedding day.

How long before we receive our images ?
I almost always try to upload a sneak peek image onto my Facebook fan-page within 24hrs, and tag both bride & groom in the image. After this, it normally takes up to 10-14 days to fully edit all your images, but depending on the time of year, it can take anything up to 12 weeks.

How much equipment will you bring ?
LOTS… On the day I always carry two camera’s with me, and a third in the car just in case. Add to this the extra batteries, memory cards, light stands, reflectors etc. I’m just about ready for anything.
